#Meet My Character

I’ve been invited by Glenda Horsfall to participate in a “Meet My Character” blog hop.  She is a wonderful writer and great supporter, and you should definitely check her out.  Enjoy!

Glenda Horsfall was born and brought up in the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

From an early age she was an avid reader. She became engrossed in reading romance novels in her early teens and promised herself that one day she would sit down and write her own.

That dream has now been achieved with the publication of her first novel ‘Playing for Keeps’.  A tale of Domination and submission, the story is also a romance with a Happy Ever After ending!

Glenda now lives on the Fylde Coast of England with her own hero. She has a grown up son and three beautiful grand-daughters.

Having worked for many years as an Accountant, she loves being able to let her creative imagination run wild as she creates romantic stories for you to enjoy.

Hey, Bear!  Bear, are you there?

“Really?  I’m always here, aren’t I?”

No, not always, but I need you right now.

He arches one blonde eyebrow.  “Need me for what?”

I’m doing a blog hop.  I need you to answer some questions for the readers.

He purses his lips at me and gives me a bored look.  “Fine.  Fire away.”

So, tell us your name, and whether you are a fictional or historic character.

Blue eyes roll.  “This is ridiculous.”

He huffs in annoyance and crosses his arms over a broad, muscled chest.  “I’m FBI Special Agent Ted Bristol, but my friends call me Bear.  And, I’m fictional, not historic, a fact for which I’m extremely grateful.  Much less press that way.”

Was that so hard?

“Let’s get this over with.  Next question.”

Okay.  Where is your story set, and what should we know about you?

He sighs.  “The story is set in Colorado, and they should know I dislike doing this.”

I frown at him.  Bear.

Another sigh.  “I’m a firearms expert, mixed martial-arts instructor, and I’ve been employed with the Bureau for more than 17 years.  I’m 6’8” tall and weigh in at about 280.  If you’re a good guy, I’m your best friend.  If you’re a bad guy…I’m your worst nightmare.”

Ooh, I like that!  Now, we’d like to know what messes up your life.  So, spill it, Special Agent Bristol.

He groans and runs a hand over his face.  “Leslie….”

“All right.  You asked for it.  When I was a rookie I got involved with a witness, and it ended in disaster.  That experience was enough to keep me a bachelor for the next 15 years.”

Is that the main conflict of the story?

“No.  It’s an underlying conflict, but the fact that Beth’s life is in danger is the main conflict.  Luckily, you made me smart enough to save her.”

Which answers the next question, “What is your personal goal?”.

“Yes, it does.  Now, moving on….”

We’re almost done.  What’s the working title of your and Beth’s story?

“Right Place, Right Time, which is very apropos.”

And, when can we expect this masterpiece of romantic suspense to be released?

“Well, you’re in final edits now, so hopefully by the end of 2014.  Then, maybe you’ll finally have me out of your head and I won’t have to do anymore of this.  Can I go back to my job now?”

Sorry, Bear, but I don’t think you’ll ever be out of my head, and yes, you can go back to your job now.  Tell Beth I said hello!  Sigh…he is SO hot…!

“I heard that.”

If you want to meet Bear, he makes his first appearance in my debut novel, Accidental Affair.  Check it out!
